The Mistake I Made

A few days ago I posted a layout with a contest to guess the mistake I made. Well, there were no winners but here's the answer :)

The Pink Paislee clear sticker strip below the photos was not supposed to be slanted. It was supposed to be parallel to the photo strip but in the process of trying to place it properly, the corner went down onto the paper before I could do so. And I couldn't remove it as it'd peel off the kraft cardstock underneath. So I left it as it is and tried to salvage it the best I could :)

Dream

This photo was taken some time ago during a family outing to Vivocity. I've printed a couple of pictures from there, some with Photoshop effects so you'll be seeing quite a few layouts done with those. On this one, I turned up the brightness and lowered the saturation to get the vintage effect. I love how it seems like my little girl is looking pensively at the construction scenery in the background when she was probably just standing there wondering what to do in the pool!

The only thing I wished was better was the digital quote, which came out really tiny! IT actually says: "Dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them."

Used the GCD Studio Melody Ross collection of papers on this layout + some MM Vintage Findings elements + Prima flowers, pearls & bling + 7Gypsies journaling stickers.

Still Happy Together...

I love the Pink Paislee Cupid Collection papers! Think I'll be doing more lovey-dovey layouts like these. LOL. This one was done for a challenge at Creative Pandemonium.

Just for fun...Can anyone spot the mistake I made below? I'll give away a RAK to the person who spots it. If there're more than one correct answers, I'll do a draw. You've up to Monday, 18 Jan, midnight, Singapore time, to guess! (Singapore time = GMT + 8)

1st Post of 2010

Happy New Year! Having the sniffles is not exactly the best way to start a year, but what the heck, nothing beats a determination to look up :)

Mei Mei started her 1st day of school in the pre-nursery today. She was all excited and leapt out of bed at the first wake-up call. Her brother was a different story. I had to dress him while he was still fast asleep and even when we finally dragged him to the front door, he sat down on the bench again to catch a few winks.

It was a funny sight....a chirpy 3-year-old and a dopey 5-year-old.

At least when we reached their kindergarten, Gor Gor managed to pry his eyes open.
